Terms of Use
By creating or using a ReScience Global Auction account, users agree to use the platform lawfully, provide accurate account information, protect login credentials, and follow applicable auction rules and payment and removal obligations.
Account Access
Bidder access may require ReScience Global Auction approval. ReScience Global Auction may suspend or restrict access for security, fraud prevention, non-payment, misuse, or violation of auction rules.
Platform Availability
ReScience Global Auction may maintain, update, suspend, or modify platform functionality. Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve auction integrity and transaction records.
Auction Terms & Conditions
Bids are binding offers subject to the specific auction and lot information shown on the platform. Maximum-bid/proxy bidding may automatically increase a bidder's current bid up to the submitted maximum according to configured bid increments.
Lot Condition
Unless a specific written warranty is stated, used equipment is offered based on the condition and information disclosed in the lot listing. Buyers are responsible for reviewing descriptions, photographs, included and excluded items, and pickup requirements before bidding.
Buyer’s Premium / Sales Tax
A Buyer’s Premium is added to the hammer price at the rate specified in the applicable auction-specific terms. Sales tax, if applicable, is determined under the rules applicable to the asset location and approved exemption documentation.
Winning Bid & Payment
The winning bidder must pay the invoice in full within the period specified in the applicable auction-specific terms after invoice issuance. ReScience Global Auction currently requires payment by wire transfer unless otherwise stated in the auction-specific terms.
Release & Pickup
Assets are not released until payment is PAID IN FULL and ReScience Global Auction authorizes release. Pickup may be completed by the buyer or an approved agent/carrier. Pickup/removal must be completed within the period specified in the applicable auction-specific terms.
Storage
Storage charges, if applicable, are assessed as stated in the applicable auction-specific terms for assets not removed within the required pickup period.
Bidder Verification / Deposit
Bidder registration requires a valid credit card for identity/registration verification. Unless auction-specific Special Terms expressly require otherwise, this verification is not a cash deposit.
Inspection
When inspection is offered, it is available according to the applicable auction-specific schedule. Assets are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS unless a specific written warranty is stated.
Non-Payment / Default
Failure to make required payment within the stated deadline or to complete removal may result in default, cancellation of the award where permitted by the applicable auction terms, account restriction or suspension, and other remedies stated in the final auction terms or permitted by applicable law.
Bid Cancellation
Bids are binding and may not be cancelled by a bidder. ReScience Global Auction may correct or cancel a bid only for a documented administrative or system error.
Governing Law / Venue
Governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution provisions will be stated in the applicable auction terms, with the asset location used where relevant to asset-specific tax, jurisdiction, and release requirements.
Privacy Policy
ReScience Global Auction processes account identity, contact information, bidding activity, transaction records, payment status, release records, device/session information, and agreement records for account administration, auction operation, fraud prevention, customer support, compliance, and transaction documentation.
Privacy Rights and Account Closure
Depending on applicable law and your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion. To submit a privacy request or request closure of your account, please contact ReScience Global Auction Support. We may verify your identity before processing your request. Certain information may be retained where necessary to complete or document transactions, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
Electronic Records & Communications Consent
By consenting, the bidder agrees that ReScience Global Auction may provide auction notices, account notices, invoices, payment confirmations, release authorizations, pickup notices, and other transaction communications electronically through the website and/or email address associated with the account.
The bidder is responsible for maintaining a valid email address and reasonable access to electronic records.
